Terms of Use — EcoRutas CR

1. What EcoRutas CR is
EcoRutas CR is a free application that shows charging points for electric vehicles and LP gas points in Costa Rica, and lets you draw routes to them. It is operated by a private individual in Costa Rica, on a non-commercial basis. By using it you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
2. Where the data comes from, and what we guarantee
Station data comes from third parties and from other users:
- LP gas: ARESEP's public registry.
- EV charging: Open Charge Map, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license (CC BY 4.0). Open Charge Map data is © Open Charge Map Contributors.
- User contributions, marked as such.
We do our best to keep it up to date, but we cannot guarantee that a station exists, is open, works or has the listed price at the moment you arrive. Verify before depending on a point, especially on the road.
3. Use in the vehicle
Navigation is an aid. It does not replace traffic signs, road conditions or your attention at the wheel. Do not operate the app while driving; set up the route before leaving or with the vehicle stopped. You are responsible for driving in accordance with the law.
4. Account
To publish content you need an account. You must be over 18, provide an email that is yours and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what is published from your account. You can delete it at any time from the app — see how to delete your account.
5. Content you publish
When you publish a review or add a station, you grant us a non-exclusive, free permission to display it within EcoRutas CR while it is published. You remain the one who decides about it: you can edit or delete it whenever you want.
You commit to publishing only truthful information about points that exist, and to respecting the Content Rules. We may correct, hide or remove content that breaks them, and suspend accounts that break them repeatedly.
6. Reports and moderation
Anyone can report a station or a review from the app. Reports are reviewed by hand; none removes content automatically. Review can take a few days.
7. What is not allowed
- Using the app for purposes other than finding charging or gas points.
- Trying to access other people's data or parts of the service that are not yours.
- Overloading the service with automated requests.
- Publishing false information, advertising, third parties' personal data or offensive content.
8. Availability and changes
EcoRutas CR is offered as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and update these terms; if the change is important, we announce it in the app.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by Costa Rican law, we are not liable for damages arising from inaccurate third-party or user data, from service interruption, or from use of the app while driving.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica.
